Splish, Splash....

Namaste,

We have been swimming at DNI pool every day. We have been walking down and learning how to swim. Some of us have been learning how to swim in the deep pool, some of us have been swimming the whole length of the pool without a platform at the deep end and some of us have been learning front crawl using a float board. Thank you to all the parents that have helped us with swimming.

The other things we have been doing include Futsal, Connor and Noah have both been player of the day, well done! Some of us also enjoyed the disco on Friday night.

We are starting swimming - Yippee!

Gidday everyone,

We hope you have had a good week.

We are still learning about superheroes and will be doing some cool art and other things too.

We have been doing a lot of maths. We have been practicing our basic knowledge and facts. Some things we have been practicing include counting, skip counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and we have been writing our numbers up to 100.

We are super excited to start swimming today. We are going to be quiet and responsible superhero swimmers.

Room 17 is Having Fun with Superheroes

Thanks for your comments, we had fun reading these together.

We were very lucky to visit the Art Gallery on Monday. We had a fantastic time there and would like to say a BIG thank you to the parents that came along to help us. We got to look around at all of the amazing art and painted blue edge portraits. Miss Cassidy thinks they look brilliant and that you should definitely come in and have a look at them.

We have started our new topic about superheroes and have made some cool posters of ourselves as superheroes. They are funny and another good reason to pop and see what we have been doing.


Next week, on Tuesday we start swimming. If you could help us walk to the pool please let Miss Cassidy know as this would be very helpful.

Want to know what we have been doing?

Room 17 found it hard to decide what to write about in our blog this week because we thought of so many things to share.

We decided on telling you the following...

We had out first assembly on Friday. It was exciting to watch Room 11 share what they have been doing. We were a very respectful audience and sang the assembly songs beautifully!

In our classroom we have started reading every day with Miss Cassidy, we have bringing the books that we read home to share with you. Yesterday we brought homework home for the first time, we are excited about spending a little bit of time each night doing this with you.

We are currently on 5 days of awesomeness and have been working really hard on getting to 10 days of awesomeness so that we can earn some free time on the computers.

We have been finishing our  Road Safety Topic this week, we worked together to make a display about being responsible on the road. Here is a picture of our display, it would be super of you came and had a look at it.
