Catching Up on the Last Few Weeks

Ohiyo Gozimasu

Today for writing we brainstormed all of the things that we have been doing and decided we would tell you about the following things:

- We are very excited to have a new person in our class. Kana Minami has just arrived into NZ from Japan and we have been trying very hard to help her settle into our class and learn about what we do at school.

- Recently we had International day. This was really fun because we came to school dressed in international costumes and had a parade in the hall. Miss C painted our faces with flags and we enjoyed some fun activities at lunch time like rugby, origami and kite flying.

- Last week to celebrate Easter we made Easter rabbits and chickens by getting a yoghurt pottle and painting it. Then we stuck feathers on the chickens and bunny ears and whiskers on the rabbits. After that the Easter bunny came and put some easter eggs in our chickens and rabbits. We wrote recounts about our Easter holiday and then we published them on the computer. Miss Cassidy was very proud of how hard we tried and said that we all wrote amazing recounts. Look out for some of these on the blog in the next few weeks.

- We are making some superhero masks in Art. Next week we will post some photos of our masks on the blog.

We have also been celebrating some birthdays this term. Happy birthday to Neva, Lintong and Darcie.

We hope you had a nice Easter.

  1. Connor and I (connor's mum) have enjoyed reading the class blog. We enjoy reading what is happening in the class. Hazel and Theo's blog is amazing. Theo - I am glad you share your lego with your brother because Connor shares with his brother. Hazel - cool sand castle, your sand castle looks taller than you.

Keep up the good work room 17. Look forward to reading more.
